Where we are:
The house is situated in the small village area of Mocaiana, 6 km from the medieval walled town of Gubbio, well known for its rustic appeal and abundance of original structures and religious architecture.
The house is typical to Umbria and the local area, located in rural surroundings in the Valley of Gubbio, making it an ideal base for walking and sightseeing, but it is by no means isolated.
Mocaiana has its own post office, small supermarket, Marco's take-away pizza, a cafe-bar where old folks spend lazy summer afternoons playing cards, and Pina's late-shop give Mocaiana a local feel and rid it from the hassle of noisy tourists. The locals speak only Italian and are very friendly and hospitable, giving you the real experience of the typical Umbrian way of life.
